Job Description

We are looking for a Global Head of Business Development who will run the global business with a groundbreaking innovative product in an industry segment that has not seen much innovation in the past decades.

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Business Development team. This will be a combination of sales and marketing activities. You will lead a team of business developers and marketing specialists, you will determine the Go-To-Market strategy together with the Management Team, and you will be responsible for the total revenue of Villari and the growth of the business.

Villari’s Business Development strategy focusses on building strategic partnerships with engineering & inspection companies that resell our product to their clients. You will play a key role in further developing this strategy and you will be responsible for creating new partnerships and building out existing ones with your team, by leading by example.

The ideal candidate has an MSc degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field, has a proven track record as a lead in a commercial or business development-related position, and is now looking for a role where he or she can combine these two disciplines. You have experience with the management of a commercial team, including running sales & marketing meetings, running 1-on-1 coaching sessions and managing team- and individual targets on a weekly basis. In this role, you have the unique chance to hit the ground running, grow a large partner portfolio, and be part of the rapid growth and valuation of the company.

Furthermore, your team will be responsible for the incorporation of the customer’s perspective and wishes, and you will collaborate closely with our internal stakeholders in the operations and tech

department, to ensure further product development and successful delivery of sensor systems to our partners and their customers.

What will you bring?

  • Technical MSc degree in Engineering, Physics, or a similar field of study

  • 8+ years of experience in a commercial role.

  • 3+ years of experience leading a commercial team (ideally both sales and marketing)

  • Experience running sales & marketing meetings, 1-on-1 coaching sessions with team members, and managing team and individual targets on a weekly basis.

  • Strong analytical skills and a natural ability to persuade & build relations.

  • Proven track record of creating and closing new business opportunities and experience with key account management.

  • Experience with the development and implementation of Go-To-Market strategies on a global level.

  • Excellent communication in English (Dutch, German, Spanish, or French is a plus).

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with different stakeholders.

  • Ideally, you have experience in selling through strategic partnerships
